Test Grading Policies

Math Test Grading Policies
Chapter Assessment (Test)
Every Math test consists of 25 questions, each weighing a total of 4 points. For each question, a student may earn 2 points for work shown and 2 points for the correct answer. There are 3 bonus questions at the end of the test, each of which are worth 1 point. Quizzes occur in the middle of the chapter to assess which areas need to be worked on; 3 quizzes will be averaged out into one test grade for the marking period.

Test Corrections
In order for a student to earn full test corrections credit, they must complete the following steps:

  • Write their name, date, teacher, and chapter number on a separate sheet of loose leaf.
  • Re-do incorrect questions only.
  • All work must be shown and the correct answer must be found for credit.
  • 1 point per question may be earned only if the answer is correct and the work is shown for that question.
  • Test corrections can only be handed in within one week of receiving the test.
  • The loose leaf with corrections must be stapled to the test when handed in to me.
